Sixteen VMS band students participated in the Marion Junior Honor Band, held at Vernon Middle School earlier this month. Selected students rehearsed under the direction of talented guest conductors and presented a wonderful concert! Congratulations to our talented VMS musicians! 🎶🎺

Parkview 1st graders are exploring air and weather using FOSS science kits! Through hard on investigations with straws, feathers, syringes, and a parachute activity, they are discovering what air does and were introduced to the concept of air resistance. Curious minds at work!

Day on the Hill for Iowa School Districts, an event supporting public education in Iowa, was Monday, January 26th. Director Funck, Director Vannatta, & Superintendent Brouwer met with legislators to share celebrations & to advocate for the needs of Marion Independent. #MISDOwnYourFuture
