Students in MHS' AMPED program were busy making holiday shirts!
MHS students met for the first ever meeting of the Nail Art Club! Students can bring their own nail art supplies or use ones provided. The club will meet every Monday during M Block in rm 34 and will have a focus each week on a specific nail technique. The next meeting is on 1/8!

VMS Winter Choir Concerts are tonight in the VMS Gym! 5th and 6th Grade performs at 5:30 pm, and 7th and 8th Grade performs at 6:30 pm.
6th graders in Mr. Wood's and Mayrose's Social Studies classes traveled to Ancient Mesopotamia and became scribes. They wrote in Cuneiform on on clay tablets with wooden tools (thanks Mrs. Hale)! A HUGE shout out to 6th grade parents who supplied the salt dough!
Boys Wrestling will have a meet tonight at Mount Vernon. Action starts at 4:15 pm!
There will be Girls Basketball action after school tonight! 7th grade and 8th grade both travel to Independence to play at West Elementary. 8th grade at 4:15 and 7th grade at 5:00 pm.

The VMS "Holiday Edition" FASTWORKS will be December 21st from 5:30-7:00 pm. These fun and free sessions are a great opportunity to enjoy a free meal, fun activities for the kids, and time for parents to visit and have some fun! Register at bit.ly/FASTWORKS by December 18th.

Congratulations to our Vernon thespians, who performed Pirates of Penzance last weekend. This was a wonderful musical, full of excellent singing, dancing and acting. Bravo to all who played a part in this fantastic production!
