The Vernon Eighth Grade Band members joined the MHS Marching Band to perform as a pep band together at the MHS Senior Night Football Game on October 13th. Due to rain, the event was held indoors, allowing our students to still have a great performance experience! #vmsinspire

To create Kintsugi Pottery, our 8th graders had to break their projects first (scary!) in order to mend them. In relation to the middle school experience, this is important wisdom: accepting one's imperfections is a valuable part of life that makes your journey more interesting.
8th Grade artists created their own version of Japanese Kintsugi pottery. Kintsugi, meaning "golden joinery" is the art of repairing broken pottery by joining the broken pieces with glue, then painting the cracks with metallic paint to make the breakage visible.

VMS is hosting a Halloween dance on Thursday, October 26th! The 5th and 6th Grade mixer will be from 3:15-4:30 pm and the 7th and 8th Grade dance will be from 4:30-5:00 pm. Students can wear costumes to the party and bring money for snacks!
