✨ We welcome Abigail Schlueter as a Special Education Associate at Francis Marion Intermediate!
Abigail has enjoyed getting to know the Marion school district through her three children after staying home the past few years to raise them.
Abigail says, "[I am] now excited to be able to contribute and encourage others as my family has been."

Terri has three children and one grandchild. She enjoys spending time with her family and gardening, and she is looking forward to seeing new faces!

✨ We welcome Erin Pint as a Fourth Grade Teacher at Francis Marion Intermediate!
Erin grew up in Marion and studied Elementary Education at UNI. Having grown up in the Marion area, she believes she can relate to the needs of our youth and empower them to succeed.
Erin says, "After college, I returned to the area eager to start my career in the place that inspired me."

✨ We welcome Sami Roberts as a 5th Grade Math & Science Teacher at Vernon Middle School!
Sami grew up in Grimes, moved to Cedar Rapids to attend Coe College for a degree in Elementary Education and to play softball. She currently lives in Cedar Rapids with her husband, young daughter, and dog, and is entering her 13th year of teaching.
Sami says, "I choose to join the team at MISD because of their reputation for building a strong positive community to help every student become the best they can be."

✨ We welcome Miranda Hess as a Special Education Associate at Parkview Elementary!
Miranda worked in healthcare for the last twelve years but felt that her calling was elsewhere. She and her husband, Mitch, have four children, who are students at MISD, and two French Bulldogs. She always thought it would be awesome to be more involved in the district and its community.
Miranda says, "I am excited about being a part of something bigger; new students, new school, and new opportunities to make an impact."

✨ We welcome Haley Broadie as a Special Education Teacher at MHS!
Haley grew up in Cedar Rapids, attended Kirkwood on a volleyball scholarship, and graduated from UNI. Recently, she received her Master's in School Counseling from Buena Vista University. She has previously taught math and science for nine years.
Haley says, "Another teacher raved about her experience and invited me in to visit one afternoon. The culture felt positive and inviting." And this encouraged her to apply.

✨ We welcome Samantha Armbrust as a 5th Grade Special Education Teacher at VMS!
Samantha is originally from North Dakota, went to school in South Dakota, and is now here with her husband and three children, who attend school in our district! She enjoys reading in her free time.
Samantha says she is excited to learn and grow as a teacher.

✨ We welcome Rebecca Knudson as a Behavior Coach at Longfellow!
Rebecca has a degree in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education along with a Master's degree in Collaborative Learning and Teaching. She lives in Cedar Rapids with her husband, Brad. They have three girls and are excited to become grandparents in December. After teaching at Marion for twenty years, she took a one-year absence to teach in a remote outback community in Australia, where she also cared for orphaned joeys.
She says, "I'm excited to be back at Marion and in a new role which will allow me to work with many teachers."
