Mr. Rinderknecht brought in artifacts from WWI and WWII to his U.S. History class. For each item, students had to evaluate which war it belonged in and its monetary value today to collectors. A great enrichment activity for the juniors still in class after the senior's last day!
VMS recognized the tremendous growth made by 5-8th grade students who improved two years or more on their ISASP test by taking a trip to AirFX as a reward. It was a great experience for all students involved. Thank you to Mr. Hahn and Mr. Mayrose for spearheading this initiative!
Congrats to senior, Kyan Greeno for designing the Marion Transition Center Logo and Branding Package for MISD! This logo represents the growth students will achieve while attending the MTC. The MTC helps provide young adults with independence in living, working, and learning.
Megan Gearhart is a member of the Class of 2024! She plans to attend Coe College and major in business with an emphasis on sports management while participating on the competitive archery team. 🎯 Her fondest memories come from driving to nearly 100 archery tournaments with her dad and the laughs, lessons, and fun moments shared during those trips. Congratulations, Megan! We know you’ll do well. 💫
Cooper Cook is headed to Wartburg College to study actuarial science and mathematics, while also participating in the band and on the cross country and track teams. 🎺🏃♂️
His favorite memory came during his sophomore year after the cross country team finished second at the state meet and went for a night run. “It was probably some of the most fun I’ve had in all of high school and it always makes me happy when I think back on the night,” he said.
Hannah Neuville is a member of the MHS Class of 2024! 💫🎓 After graduation, she plans to attend the University of Iowa and double major in journalism and mass communication and cinema. Her favorite memories all come from joining journalism at MHS. “Every memory from sitting in that classroom creating the past two yearbooks holds a special place in my heart and boosted my school spirit more than any other activity,” says Hannah.
