Today marks the start of American Education Week! 🎉

This week gives us an opportunity to recognize the collaboration among teachers, staff, students, families, and community members that makes an exceptional educational experience possible. Thank you for your role in creating a strong foundation for student success in MISD!

Today in Mr. Haucks Health class, the students debated "impossible" questions. Displaying argumentative skills and courtroom skills while having calm, fun discussion.

Congratulations to Addison Dabroski and Emerson Dabroski. Both ran in the State Cross Country Meet on October 31st representing Marion High School. Addison finished 19th overall and Emerson finished 33rd overall. Great job! #MISDInspire #MISDOwnYourFuture

November is National Scholarship Month! 🎓

Our Class of 2025 was awarded an impressive total of $778,160 in scholarships, including:

✅ $238,050 from the Marion Foundation
✅ $23,310 in scholarships associated with Marion through nominations or partnerships
✅ $516,800 from other scholarship sources

We’re so proud of our students' hard work and the community support that makes these opportunities possible!

Our Competition Cheer took home first in State this past Saturday! The team competed against 13 other 3A teams and took first place beating the second place team by 6 points! If you are unfamiliar with cheer scoring-6 points is HUGE. Our final score was 91.4 out of 100 which is a new personal best for our program! This makes the Marion Cheer Squad back to back state champs! #MISDOwnYourFuture #MISDinspire

Today is Election Day in MISD, and polls are open from 7am-8pm. 🗳️

Back-to-Back State State Champs! Our competition cheer team competed against 13 other 3A teams and won by 6 points, with a final score of 91.4 out of 100, a new personal best for the program!

Also, the girls were one of the few teams that sat together for the entire competition, cheering on all the competitors throughout the day, truly representing the Marion Way from start to finish.

Our schools are committed to creating safe, welcoming spaces for all. That’s why we’re participating in #StopTheProp, a statewide effort to build stronger safety habits. 🔐
