Activities Information
Students must complete a minimum of twenty-eight (28.0) credits (1/2 credit equals one block class). Students must complete a minimum of sixteen and one-half (16.5) required credits in the following subject areas:
English 4 credits including:

Students must complete a minimum of eleven and one-half (11.5) elective credits in any subject area. A student may be allowed to take two (2) full credits at an approved educational institution to count towards a Marion diploma. This credit must be approved by the high school principal. The typical progression of credit acquisition Sophomore 8.0 Junior 16.0 Senior 24.0 In all instances graduation requirements shall meet the standards established by state statute, and/or State Department of Education. The four year attendance requirement may be modified by the Board of Directors. The Superintendent, with the assistance of his/her professional staff, shall establish procedures and regulations to be followed when a student is applying for early graduation. Students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) may receive a certificate of completion based on their IEP goals.
