Meet Mrs. Zaruba
*School Counselor- 4th year at Longfellow
*Just had a baby in April named Wren
*Has a full house: Husband, child, two dogs (Nova and Karma) and a cat (Wayne)
*Any chance Mrs. Zaruba gets to be outside, she will take it! Especially if it includes hiking with her dogs and family or watching the Badgers or Packers!
*Fun Fact: Her dog Nova and Mrs. O’Brien’s dog Finn are brother and sister :)
Meet Mr. DeWulf
*Mrs. DeWulf is the Title One Reading Strategist at Longfellow
* 28th year of teaching; Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, and Title One Reading Strategist
* She has been married to her husband, Tom, for 32 years.
* Two daughters: Kaitlin (28) is a lawyer in Denver, Colorado and Elaina (21) is a junior at the University of Iowa.
* Mrs. DeWulf loves to cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes and her daughter, Elaina, that plays tenor sax for the Iowa Hawkeyes Marching Band.
Meet Mrs. Reisner
*Mrs. Reisner has taught 25 years at Emerson/Longfellow. Prior to teaching in Marion, Mrs. Reisner taught 3 years at All Saints in Cedar Rapids.
*She has been married for 26 years to her husband Jim who she met working at Arby’s in high school.
*Mrs. Reisner has 2 children. David is a Sophomore at Ozark Christian College and is studying to be a youth pastor. Anna is Senior at Marion High School and enjoys show choir, volleyball, soccer, and bowling.
*Mrs. Reisner has taught with Mrs. Kuethe for the past 25 years.
*Mrs. Reisner enjoys spending time with her family.

Our 1st and 2nd graders enjoyed a trip to the Gallagher Bluedorn Theater in Cedar Falls today to watch “Click, Clack, Moo”. They even got to eat in the UNidome! Check out 2K’s Venn Diagram comparing the book and the performance.
Mrs. Zaruba and Beth Votroubek from Grant Wood AEA presented at the National PBIS Leadership Forum in Chicago on Thursday, sharing the PBIS supports we have for our K-2 students with schools and organizations all over the country!

2nd graders finished their knowledge unit on Early Asian Civilizations.The unit focused on ancient India and ancient China. They celebrated by learning to use chopsticks, write a few words in Chinese, use hieroglyphs, and listening to a story about Diwali, the Festival of Lights.
Kindergarten and 1st grade students had a visit from Marion Firefighters today. They learned about fire safety, got to see a firefighter in full gear, and got to see and hear the fire truck! Thank you MFD!

My name is Jenni Ringwald and this is my 22nd year teaching early childhood. My husband Joe and I have been married for 24 years and have 2 kids, Jackson and Joy. Jackson started his junior year at UNI this fall and Joy is a freshman at Wartburg. My hobbies include; kayaking, gardening, reading, and helping out and acting at Giving Tree Theater.
