Welcome to Longfellow Elementary!
Our amazing school serves about 250 Preschool through 2nd grade students. During the year, preschool students will learn early literacy, math, science, social studies and social skills through large group and small group instruction, as well as through social play with peers. K-2nd grade students receive core curriculum instruction as well as music, art, physical education/health, library and classes from our school counselor. Another area students will receive direct instruction in is Social Emotional Learning. This will help students learn about emotions and guide them in how to respond appropriately to others. We provide reading and math support, as well as extended learning opportunities through our TAG program.
At Longfellow, we follow the Marion Way of being respectful, responsible, safe and having integrity. These are traits we work hard to instill in our students on a daily basis. We are a small, tight-knit community that is proud of the education we provide to all of our students!
We invite you to come and visit to see all of the wonderful things we do here at Longfellow! I’m looking forward to a wonderful year! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Yours in Education,
Mrs. Harmer
