If you were to walk into a classroom you would see preschool age children engaging in lots of play. The Marion Preschool follows a Creative Curriculum based philosophy. Students are engaged in a variety of activities throughout the classroom. Each classroom has dramatic play, science/discovery, art/writing, blocks, technology, music, toys and games, reading, and sensory.

While students are engaged in these centers, they are working on a wide variety of skills, especially in the area of social-emotional development, critical thinking and problem-solving, and communication skills, to name a few.

While students are engaging in play, teachers are promoting those opportunities by facilitating and encouraging positive interactions, not only between the students, but with adults in the classroom. Teachers are also creating a physical environment that is safe and has a variety of quality learning opportunities through play.
