The Vernon Middle School staff would like to welcome you. We proudly serve students in grades 5-8 and are committed to providing a safe and supporting school environment where we firmly believe all students can achieve academic excellence. As a staff we know the middle school years are critical in the development of social, emotional and 21st century learning skills. It is our belief that students, parents, staff and community are true partners in the education of all students. We are united in a shared vision in which high expectations equal high achievements.

At Vernon Middle School we also want to foster an environment in which students and staff strive to meet The Marion Way. Respect, Responsibility, and Integrity are our way of life here at Vernon Middle School and we work hard to create an environment where all individuals respect themselves, respect others and respect their school.
I am extremely proud to be the Principal at VMS! We are doing great things every day and continue to challenge ourselves to do even better. We have an incredibly talented and dedicated staff, we utilize the most current research in grading and learning, students are encouraged to explore and be creative, and we have an extremely supportive parent and community base.
