Mr. Benjamin Revis welcomed us into his lab last week to share the art of scientific glassblowing. MHSAP families were awed by the way he could shape, form, and fuse pieces of glass material into a scientific apparatus that could be used by lab students and chemists alike. We even got to see the pieces of a trombone he was making out of glass! We walked away with newfound appreciation for this unique medium that is often taken for granted. Thank you Mr. Revis for sharing your art and for providing insight into your field.
Education related field trips are designed to enhance homeschooling by providing opportunities to expand the curricula with hands-on learning and/or exposure to experts in their field and often at their location. Although a few of our field trips target a specified age for attendees, most are designed for the whole family.
